The running routes at Le Marne Relais provide an atmosphere that fosters concentration and personal accomplishment. The diverse courses cater to the individual's pursuit of their goals.

The routes are designed by Lisa Migliorini - The Fashion Jogger, an internationally well known sport influencer with over 1.5 million followers, who recently received the "Best World Sport Influencer" prize at the WIBA Awards, the most prestigious honor that is assigned every year during the Cannes Film Festival.

WARM UP AREA
300 mt long

The slightly undulating road that connects Le Marne to the Mura Mura winery is the ideal stretch to carry out the warm-up phase.

Spanning approximately 300 meters (one way) within the Relais, this segment is nestled amidst the vineyards, offering captivating views of the entire estate and the surrounding hills. Along this path, you will come across a playground and a verdant garden overlooking the winery, creating an ideal space for performing bodyweight exercises.

Whether you are an experienced runner, walker, or a novice, it is highly recommended to take advantage of this secure and protected area for warming up. By doing so, you will be adequately prepared to tackle the initial uphill sections of the routes.

The soft route is ideal for a short run, or for a pleasant walk on the Mura Mura farm estate.

Starting from the Relais, the route begins with a downhill section, passing by the helicopter landing strip and traversing dirt roads that wind through the vineyards. The middle part of the route is predominantly flat, following an easily accessible dirt road. It takes you through the enchanting woods, skirts a small lake, and gradually ascends along the vineyards, leading to the Mura Mura winery. Finally, the route loops back towards the relais residences for the last stretch.

Throughout this enjoyable and relatively short route, the relais remains constantly in view. Runners and walkers have the opportunity to admire the vineyards and orchards up close and witness the farmers diligently at work. During the springtime, it is especially worthwhile to pause in the woods and appreciate the vibrant display of colorful wildflowers.

A slightly uphill start will lead you to alternate paved roads, paths through the vineyards and dirt roads, leading you to one of the most suggestive panoramic points in the area: Bricco Lu (“Hill of the wolf”, in Piedmontese language).

An unforgettable experience awaits as you take a seat on the enormous orange big bench. From there, you swiftly descend towards the Madonnina church, followed by a smooth stretch of paved road. Next, you embark on a pleasant dirt path descent, offering a captivating view of the Relais as you make your way back towards the grounds of the Mura Mura farm.

As you traverse the meadows, forests, orchards, and the iconic pond during your run, you will uncover the remarkable biodiversity of the area. The ascent along the vineyards then guides you to the winery area before completing the return journey to the starting point.

Train between paved roads, dirt paths, vineyards and lawns, to discover the hills surrounding Le Marne: a route with challenging uphill sections, which will take you to the church of San Michele (the highest point in the area), and breathtaking descents. Here, it is advisable to reduce your pace, catch your breath, and take in the scenic countryside, preparing yourself for the upcoming climbs.

Upon making a 90° right turn, you embark on a long but gradual ascent towards the church of San Michele, which offers a must-see viewpoint. Along this stretch, you can admire extraordinary views of Costigliole d'Asti, with its medieval castle, as well as the Alpine arc, where the unmistakable silhouette of Monviso stands out. At the top of this climb, you are rewarded with a 360-degree view, complete with picnic tables, a drinking fountain, and an e-bike charging station.

The subsequent part of the route is the fastest, consisting of a three-kilometer stretch that alternates between paved and dirt roads, leading back towards the Mura Mura grounds. Along the way, you catch glimpses of the relais in various sections. Finally, the route takes you through the forest, orchard, and vineyards of Mura Mura in its final part. These 10 kilometers provide an enjoyable and evocative experience while serving as a great training opportunity.

The choice is yours: either complete the route in one go or take advantage of the scenic spots to pause for stretching and relaxation, before getting back into full swing.

REPS AREA

A stretch of road identified for running and repeating exercises.
he road section spans approximately 600 meters, with half of it being flat and the other half featuring an uphill gradient of 6-8%.

The road offers a constant view of the relais from below, adding to its scenic appeal. Here, you have the option to perform short repeats on the flat section or tackle challenging uphill repeats, taking advantage of the gradual and progressive gradient. Once your workout is complete, the final step is to climb back up to the relais to cool down and recover.
